What is hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the skin. Responsible for the thickness and elasticity of the skin. Its function is to fill in the subcutaneous tissue at the injection site. Additionally acid is used as a filler in the cheeks augmentation, chin area and modeling lips. In addition, hyaluronic acid may be used locally to treat scars. Different types and density of hyaluronic acid preparations are used to revitalize, firming the skin of the face, neck and hands.

How does the procedure look like?

The treatment is in fact a painless administration of hyaluronic acid by using a thin needle or cannula directly into the treated area. The procedure takes a few minutes and does not require prior preparation. The vast majority of anesthetic preparations has therefore no need for anesthesia earlier.

How does the patient look like after procedure?

After the procedure, a slight redness and swelling at the site of application can be observed. These symptoms may persist for several days. Usually, you can hide them under normal makeup. When the procedure uses a needle, then you may experience slight bruising.

How long does the effect of the treatment last?

Treatment effect is immediate and lasts for 8-18 months. Hyaluronic acid slowly decomposes, but in its place flows natural collagen. Therefore, even several months after the treatment effect it is still satisfactory.

What are contraindications for procedure?

Contraindication for hyaluronic acid are: pregnancy and lactation, hypersensitivity to ingredients, autoimmune disease in active phase and infectious diseases of the skin at the site of the planned injection.

Administered hyaluronic acid is combined with natural hyaluronic acid present in the skin. Treatments using branded preparations are safe and do not cause any systemic symptoms, so they can be repeated. Preparations are not allergenic, before surgery do not need to carry out the initial skin tests.

Recommendations after procedure

Immediately after the procedure keep treated areas clean. For 7 days you should apply cream Avene Cicalfate. In the case of bruises, it is recommended that frequent use of ointments with heparinum.
